School Visit, Interview, and Library Week

Hello Llaget’s Family,

I hope all is well.  In this newsletter, I have a few things I would like to share with you.  So here they are in no particular order.

Oakley Elementary School Visit

I had a great time visiting one of the most AMAZING schools in Georgia, Oakley Elementary. I got a chance to read, The Boy with Hearts for Hair, answer questions, create a dialogue about self-acceptance, and pass out COLORING SHEETS from the book! Thank you to all the teachers and students for inviting me into their classrooms.  And thank you to Ms. Lockridge and Ms. Cammllarie for making this event possible.  Click on the picture below to see more.

Interview

Recently, my good friend Jill interviewed me for her website, Real Answers-Real Authors.  I was excited about this interview because Jill deals with a lot authors and inspiring authors.  Her website provides plenty of resources and answers many questions one may have on creating a book.  So if you have a book in your heart and considering publishing, I invite you to read the interview and also look around her site.  (Click here for Interview.)

National Library Week

From April 13th to April 19th, 2014, it will be National Library Week.  As many of you know, libraries are very important to me.  I will be participating in National Library Week by visiting Forest Park Branch Library this Monday, April 14, 2014 as part of their “Spotlight on Local Authors” event.  I will be there at 7pm to do a book reading/signing for The Boy with Hearts for Hair.  Please come whenever you can, as there will be authors throughout the day presenting.  Call Forest Park Library at (770) 347-0160 if you have any other questions about this event and/or other things going on for National Library Week.

Okay, I believe that’s all for now.  Have a great weekend!

Introducing, “The Boy with Hearts for Hair”!

The Boy with Hearts for Hair

Hello Llaget’s Family,

I am happy to present to you my brand new book, The Boy with Hearts for Hair.  It’s a 40-paged motivational children’s book jammed packed with awesomely vivid illustrations!  The story is about one unique fourth grader with a special problem.  Anton is teased at school for having a head full of hearts.  In my new book, you get to follow Anton through his first day back to school and find out what it takes for him to stand up to the meanest bully in the entire school – Terrible Tammy.

This book shares the importance of self-acceptance and having self-confidence.  An “Anti-Bullying” message is conveyed in a way that is practical and easy for children to comprehend.

I’ve been working on this project for a year now and I’m super excited to finally introduce it to you.  The Boy with Hearts for Hair is officially on sale!  You can find more information on the book’s website: www.heartsforhair.com.  Go there to look around the site and purchase a signed copy for your little reader!  I look forward to hearing your feedback.

I really hope you enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed creating it!  Stay up to date with Llaget’s Drawings because even more information about The Boy with Hearts for Hair will be released in the near future.

Thank you!
